Mimesis adalah kata yang dibuat untuk mengekspresikan gerakan manusia atau kondisi sebuah benda bergerak atau benda mati seperti cara berjalan manusia (sumber). Jujur saya baru tahu ada istilah mimesis dan artinya apa. Waktu masih sekolah dulu, seingat saya nggak pernah diajari tentang mimesis. Baru tahu istilah mimesis setelah nonton video Talk To Me In Korean yang berjudul 20 Fun & Easy Mimetic Words in Korean. 😁
Seperti biasa, supaya materi yang didapat nggak menguap begitu saja, kedua puluh mimesis dalam bahasa Korea di video tersebut saya tulis di blog ini.
1. 말랑말랑
말랑말랑 describes something smooth, soft, and squishy.
E.g. 아기 볼은 말랑말랑해요 (A baby's cheek is soft and squishy)
2. 두근두근
두근두근 is when someone's heart is pounding fast and repeatedly.
E.g. 내일 데이트가 있어서 두근두근해요 (I have a date tomorrow so my heart is pounding)
3. 뒹굴뒹굴
뒹굴뒹굴 describes the motion of line down and rolling here and there.
E.g. 주말에 그냥 뒹굴뒹굴하면서 쉬고 싶어요 (I want to goof around on the weekend)
4. 느릿느릿
느릿느릿 is when something is moving slowly and not fast enough.
E.g. 거북이가 어딘가에 느릿느릿기고 있어요 (A turtle is going somewhere slowly)
5. 오물오물
오물오물 describes how someone chews food bit by bit with their mouth closed.
E.g. 주연 씨는 항상 오물오물 먹어서 귀여워요 (Jooyeon always chews food bit by bit so she looks cute)
6. 토닥토닥
토닥토닥 is to patting someone lightly and repeatedly.
E.g. 동생 좀 토닥토닥해 줘 (Pat your younger sister/brother, please)
7. 지끈지끈
지끈지끈 is when you feel a throbbing pain especially in your head.
E.g. 머리가 지끈지끈 아파요 (I have a throbbing headache)
8. 가물가물
가물가물 describes some memory and consciousness that faint away.
E.g. 글쎄요. 기억이 가물가물해요. (Well, I have a faint memory [about it])
9. 글썽글썽
글썽글썽 describes one's eyes being filled with tears as if it about to roll down.
E.g. 그렇게 글썽글썽 쳐다보니까 아무 말도 못 하겠어요 (Since you stare at me with your eyes filled up with tears, I can't say anything)
10. 데굴데굴
데굴데굴 is for the movement of an object or a person that keeps rolling.
E.g. 현우 씨, 공이 데굴데굴 굴러 가요. (Hyunwoo, your ball is rolling away)
11. 보글보글
보글보글 describes the sound or motion of liquid that is boiling.
E.g. 승관 씨, 라면이 보글보글 끓고 있어요. (Seungwan, your ramyeon noodles are boiling)
12. 울먹울먹
울먹울먹 describes the state of being about to cry.
E.g. 경화 씨가 화장실에서 울먹울먹하고 있었어요 (Kyunghwa was in the restroom, on the verge of crying)
13. 조마조마
조마조마 is used to talk about being uneasy and anxious for fear of things to come.
E.g. 왜 그렇게 조마조마해요? (Why do you look so anxious?)
14. 지긋지긋
지긋지긋 describes being sick and tired of something to the point of being stressed out.
E.g. 이제 바나나는 지긋지긋해요! (Now, I'm sick and tired of [eating] banana!)
15. 쭈글쭈글
쭈글쭈글 is for describing something that has many wrinkles.
E.g. 저는 쭈글쭈글한 우리 할머니 손이 좋아해요 (I love grandmother's wrinkly hands)
16. 동글동글
동글동글 describes something round.
E.g. 이 공이 동글동글해요 (This ball is round)
17. 바삭바삭
바삭바삭 is the sound of emotion of something crispy being crushed or broken.
E.g. 치킨이 바삭바삭해서 너무 맛있어요 (This chicken is so crispy and tasty)
18. 따끔따끔
따끔따끔 describes of pain that is like being poked or pinched.
E.g. 목이 따끔따끔 아파요 (My throat is so sore [as if it is being poked by something])
19. 살금살금
살금살금 describes of quiet and sneaky movement.
E.g. 산타 할아버지, 어디를 그렇게 살금살금 가세요? (Santa, where are you going in such a sneaky fashion?)
20. 또박또박
또박또박 is used about clear and distinct to remark or handwriting.
E.g. 글씨 좀 또박또박 써 주세요 (Please write the letters clearly)
Beberapa mimesis di atas, ada yang sudah sangat familiar di telinga saya seperti 두근두근 dan 지긋지긋. Kedua mimesis tersebut beberapa kali saya dengar dari lagu-lagu K-Pop. Contoh lagu yang memuat kata mimesis 두근두근 adalah lagu 'Gee' dari SNSD, sedangkan 지긋지긋 pernah saya dengar di lagu DAY6 yang berjudul 'STOP'.

Hai Endah, sebenarnya agak malu menyampaikan ini, yah sebagai lulusan saskor, aku hanya familiar dan sering pakai 5 aja yaitu 말랑말랑,두근두근,바삭바삭,따끔따끔,또박또박 . Makasih artikelnya, aku jadi refresh pelajaran lagi. Ah, udah lama ga mampir di YT TTMIK.

Gapapa mba Dila, namanya juga bukan Korean native speaker. Bentuuul yang paling familiar buat banyak orang pasti dugeun-dugeun itu karena banyak banget juga dipake di lirik lagu. Sama-sama mba Dila, makasih udah mampir ke sini. Ayo ayo ke TTMIK lagi, belajar lagi. :p xD
